Make a Difference Today
ZENHATHITUDE’s concept is to change daily life items into vibrant colors, in order to give them beautifully stunning visuals
The project, starting in Kenya, aims to ensure sustainable incomes and development for focus groups from countryside, through income generating activities that are culturally motivated and passed across generations. Helping local communities out of traditional charity assistantship.
At the end of 2014, ZENHATHITUDE pilot project started in Ukambani region in Kenya, where crafts have been a traditional practice for generations. With sisal plantation doing very well in the region, weaving is becoming a successful program to expand for the community. With an initial workforce of only 5 weavers, the number has since grown to 15 weavers that turn the sisal into ropes and mats that will in turn be purchased by ZENHATHITUDE to be used in the production of coffee tables and poofs, made from recycled tyres.
Zenhathitude also crafts creatively designed accessories, including bags, IPad covers and table mats, with the prospect in financially supporting the social projects.
The long term aim is to give the weavers in the local community the opportunity to be recognized in Kenya for the good quality of their work on sisal and maintain a sustainable income, thanks to their partnership with ZENHATHITUDE.
